AskMe Corporation Honored as "Corporate Newcomer of the Year" by Software and Information Industry Association
AskMe Corporation, an enterprise software and services for deploying employee knowledge networks (EKNs), announced that it has been honored as "Corporate Newcomer of the Year" by the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA).
The award was announced during the 18 th Annual Codie Awards ceremony San Francisco, CA.
The Codie Awards provide the only peer recognition program in the software and information industry.
Each year, SIIA judges that include key media representatives, industry analysts, and senior level IT
executives review award nominees, submit votes for category finalists and ultimately determine each
category winner.
Last year, the competition comprised over 700 nominations from 325 companies with overall winners in 40 categories.
Competing among a wide variety of companies that ranged from emerging start-ups to traditional industry
powerhouses like Microsoft, IBM and Oracle, AskMe was named as the first place winner in its category
based on the company’s growth, financial stability, product excellence and market penetration in 2002.
According to Udai Shekawat, CEO of AskMe Corporation, "The Codie Awards are well known as an
endorsement of corporate success and we are pleased that the SIIA has recognized AskMe for its business strength, market leadership and technology innovation. With a stronghold in the marketplace, we are poised for continued success in 2003 and beyond."
