AskMe expands India subsidiary in Pune after initial start-up phase

November 16, 2006 - AskMe Corporation headquartered in Bellevue, WA USA, is the world's leading provider of Expertise Management software solutions for Global 2000 companies. AskMe has also recently started a new division to deliver product development services to complement its enterprise software business.
After working with Indian offshore software providers for several years, AskMe Corporation has setup a wholly owned subsidiary, AskMe Software Pvt Ltd., with headquarters located at two offices at Viman Nagar, Pune. AskMe Software Pvt. Ltd. will handle a variety of projects for AskMe Corporation, USA including software product development, business and technical consulting, professional services and product support.
Anil Kumar, General Manager of AskMe Corporation says “We chose Pune as our India headquarters because of its talent pool, and availability of work force with expertise in core product development; we also have about 50% of our work force coming from other cities who are excited to make Pune their new home.”
Udai Shekawat, CEO of AskMe Corporation was initially concerned about the ability to hire quality talent and develop cutting-edge products in India. After a very successful start-up phase, Udai says “I am thrilled with the quality of the work and commitment from our India employees. And we are now developing our most recent product release completely out of India.”
AskMe intends to quadruple the workforce and will be in a large scale hiring mode and plans to quadruple its employee strength in the next 12 months. Anil Kumar says “We will be looking for people with passion to write high quality Object oriented software with skills in Java, C# and knowledge of databases and .NET Framework”.
