AskMe Corporation, the leader in Expertise Management software, announced today that it has been selected as a finalist for this year's 18th annual Codie Awards by the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA). Competing against more than 150 technology providers, AskMe was awarded as a finalist for the 'Corporate Newcomer of the Year' category and as one of five finalists in the 'Best Internet-based Collaboration Technology' category based on business viability, product excellence and maturity, customer success and market penetration. In a rigorous judging process that included industry analysts, pundits and senior level IT executives, AskMe topped the list of all other EKN technologies judged.
"We are pleased that through this year's Codie awards, SIIA has recognized EKNs as one of the fastest growing categories of new technology deployed by leading-edge enterprises," remarked Udai Shekawat, CEO of AskMe Corporation. "Acknowledgement by SIIA further highlights AskMe's demonstrated success in deploying EKNs across an expanding list of Fortune 500 customers such as Ford, Honeywell and Gerber which has enabled the company to achieve profitability and establish itself as the leading solutions provider in its category."
Showcasing the software and digital content industry's finest products and services and honoring excellence for corporate achievement, the Codie Awards are just one in a series of awards programs that have recognized AskMe Enterprise as a leading technology among knowledge management and collaboration solutions. AskMe's proven success in this category, which has been regarded by Gartner Group as "the fastest growing knowledge management technology," enabled the company to sign more Fortune 500 customers than all of its competitors combined.
According to Ken Wasch, SIIA president, "The digital code and content industry is as innovative and vibrant as ever. For a company to make the cut as a finalist is a terrific achievement. Simply put, each finalist is a leader in its field. We are extremely proud to recognize the creativity and hard work that has brought them to this point."
The Codie Awards is the only peer recognition program in the software and information industry that provides a unique opportunity for companies to compete for recognition from their competitors. Codie Awards finalists represent a wide variety of companies that range from emerging start-ups to traditional industry powerhouses like Microsoft, IBM and Oracle. The finalists, as a whole, comprise 40 product and service categories in the consumer and corporate markets.
