AskMe named to the top 25 Pacific Northwest private companies in 2001

SEATTLE, October 2, 2001 - AskMe Corporation, the leader in enterprise knowledge sharing solutions, has been recognized as one of the top 25 private Northwest companies in 2001. The Investment Forum, a non-profit organization that promotes promising new companies to the business and investment community, selected AskMe.

"This acknowledgement further validates AskMe as a company on the right track," said CEO Udai Shekawat, who was honored along with 24 other Northwest CEOs last night at the Venture All-Stars Summit held at SAFECO Field. "Being recognized as one of the top 25 private high-tech companies in the Northwest out of 175 applicants highlights our successful business model, talented workforce and powerful software."

AskMe was also featured in the second edition of the Venture Map, the definitive visual business reference, which will be distributed to more than 50,000 people throughout the Northwest, including Portland and Vancouver, B.C.

A selection committee that was comprised of 35 private equity analysts including venture capitals, angel investors and successful entrepreneurs chose the Top 25 companies from more than 175 nominations.
