The Auto-Profiling Engine is an optional module that complements knowledge providers' Personal Profile Manager capabilities by automatically extracting the keywords and concepts that best describe their expertise from documents and other materials they have authored.
The Auto-Profiling engine helps ensure that profiles stay up to date and reflect knowledge providers' growing expertise areas. The core expertise extraction engine is built by Xerox and is the result of over 20 years of research in advanced linguistics technology. A key component of the Auto-Profiling Engine is the Expertise Review and Privacy System (ERPS), which ensures that employees maintain full control over their profiles at all times.
Expertise Extraction Engine (eCube)
The result of over 20 years of research in advanced linguistics technology from Xerox, eCube extracts core concepts from the employees' documents to automatically generate an employee profile.
Expertise Review and Privacy System (ERPS) The ERPS is a quick and intuitive approval system used by employees to approve the list of competency and expertise descriptions generated by eCube. Without the explicit approval of the employee, the automatically generated concepts will not be used by the system.
